About Bruce Selkirk

Energy industry entrepreneur Bruce Selkirk serves as President and CEO of Crossing Rocks Energy in Fort Worth, Texas. Crossing Rocks is one of several energy-sector companies created by Bruce Selkirk over the last two decades.

Mr. Selkirk’s first company was Encore Acquisition Company in Fort Worth, which he co-founded in 1998. In 2004, Mr. Selkirk co-founded Celero Energy, LP ("Celero 1") in partnership with Quantum Energy Partners. In 2005, Celero 1 sold substantially all of its assets to Whiting Petroleum Corporation for over $800 million. In 2006, Mr. Selkirk co-founded Celero Energy Company, LP ("Celero 2") in partnership with Natural Gas Partners. In 2014, Celero 2 divested all of its assets except its ownership in Centennial Resource Development.

Selkirk studied at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he received a bachelor of business administration in finance and real estate, as well as the mortgage bankers award.

Outside of work, Selkirk enjoys sports and outdoor recreation. He is an avid golfer who also plays a hand of poker now and again. In the spring and summer, he can be found on saltwater flats fly fishing for permit and bonefish or, in the winter, in the Rockies snow skiing.
